Revealing the 'Faces of YOKA' Video: A Visual Journey of Community Transformation

Join us in celebrating the culmination of our "Faces of YOKA" project! Collaborating with the students of Young Oak Kim Academy (YOKA), we've transformed Shatto Street into a vibrant and safe kids space for school pickups. Check out this video that showcases the people and passion driving this initiative, highlighting the transformative power of art and community.

For this project, the HERE team had the opportunity to design the "Faces of YOKA" street mural at the center of Shatto Street's transformation. The mural draws inspiration from the YOKA school colors and uses simple shapes and vibrant colors to celebrate unity and diversity within the YOKA community.

In January, our team partnered with installer Audrey Kiehnhoff and the YOKA students for two days to paint the mural together. Check out our past post to see a time-lapse of the whole installation process!
