Transit to Parks Strategic Plan

HERE lead a team of consultants to complete a Transit to Parks Strategic Plan. The Transit to Parks Plan investigated how we, as a region, can assure better access to parkland and open space areas, including the 75 miles of LA County coastline. Solutions include a full range of access improvements, like public shuttles, bike lanes, greenways, programmatic incentives, creative partnerships, nontraditional or shared ride possibilities, and others.

The focus was on providing solutions for car-less, transit-dependent Angelenos and on getting people to the specific types of parks that they want to explore. The Plan, prepared on behalf of LA Metro was unanimously approved by the Metro Board and has gone on to the implementation phase.
